Okinawa has different types of cherry blossom with mainland of Japan, and Okinawa is the South part of Japan so Okinawa's cherry blossom come into flower the last ten days in December.
December is the most early month that cherry blossom come into flower in Japan.
Okinawa has two famous cherry festival.
The first famous cherry festival in Okinawa is called “Yaedake Sakura Matsuri”
Yaedake is the part of Motobu City and it is in the middle part of Okinawa.
Also Yaedake is the mountain and 4,000 of cherry blossom come into flower!
The second famous cherry festival is called “Naha Sakura Matsuri”
Naha is the prefectural capital in Okinawa and in Yogi Park we have big cherry festival.
The time for bloom is slower than other place but Yogi's cherry is very wonderful☆
